All in all not a bad season for Aston & Erdington PS, thanks to all our members for their efforts throughout the season and congratulations to all who attained awards.
Aston and Erdington Photographic Society are North Birmingham's premier photographic club. We welcome new members of all abilities and are supportive of all who are wanting to learn more about all aspects of photography. The club meets on Monday evenings during school term time at the Bevan Jones Memorial Hall, Chester Road Baptist Church, Sutton Coldfield, just north of Birmingham. We always welcome new members and visitors.
Next Monday the 25th we have "An Evening with Pete Atkins".
Our thanks go to Heather Woodhams who judged our annual Three of a Kind Competition. Heather was encouraging and gave the members plenty of ideas which was felt may instil more members to participate in the future. Thanks again Heather.
The full season's programme for 2019-20 can be found here.
Visitors and new members are always welcome, you don't need to bring anything, just drop in. We will be happy to see you.
Gloria Dent AFIAP, DPAGB, BPE2
It is with great sadness to report that our President Gloria Dent passed away suddenly last week.
She had been a member of A&E for 24 years and had held many roles on the committee including Competition Secretary, Programme Secretary and 4 times as President. She offered her front room for many years for the Committee Meetings and Selection Panels.
When it came to competitions she could always be relied on to bring out the "Elephants" to "make up the numbers".
She will be sorely missed by all our members.
Our sympathy and condolences go to Maurice and family.
