New members are always welcome at A&E. If you've just purchased a new camera and want to find out how to get the best out of it then why not come along to the club. We have members who can help you with your photography whether you're into film or digital. We meet at 8:00pm Monday evenings during school term time. Details of where to find us and the current programme are on the website. Tuesday meetings. There are workshop evenings held regularly throughout the year on Tuesday evenings, where some of the clubs advanced workers give up their spare time to help beginners and intermediate workers improve their pictures. There will be general advice on photography to help take better pictures, such as composition and cropping. There are also evenings dedicated to using Adobe Photoshop where you can learn to remove the lamp-post growing out of someone's head, or how to darken a distracting highlight. Grading. All club members are graded in ability. There are 3 ratings, Advanced (A) Intermediate (B) and Beginners (C). Upon joining A&E.P.S. a small group will assess a sample of your work and fit you in to the appropriate group. This will ensure that you have a good chance of winning any competitions and that you aren't thrown up against the big guns too early. |
