Groups
As well as meeting on a Monday night, we have a number of specialised groups. These are held at various locations away from the the normal club meeting room.
Anyone can join the groups, and the only one with a charge at the moment is the Studio Group where a charge is made to cover the studio and model.

Audio-Visual Group
Aston & Erdington has a long and well respected history in the field of Audio-Visuals (AV). For those who do not know about this subject area it covers as it says 'Audio' and 'Visual' - which basically means producing a series of slides and a sound track that 'go together'.
This is not an easy branch of photography, but fortunately we have a number of 'expert' members who are able to assist novices to the subject. Indeed our club programme last year included two events on 'AV' - one showing how to do it, and then another of the 'AV's produced by members between the two meetings - with the some assistance from Clive Atkins FRPS FBIPP EFIAP FIPF our resident expert.

Studio Group
This group locks itself away in a large darkened room and takes photographs of models and still-life subjects (mainly the former :-).
The group uses both amateur and professional models, and meets often but on a non-regular basis.
This is a great way for photographers who do have much experience of taking portraits to use a fully kitted out studio, and to get advice from more experienced members and Bob Mason our host. If you are interested in using this facility the why not email Bob. There is also a link to MBM Studios on the links page.

Digital Imaging Group
Aston & Erdington has always kept up with new techniques in the photographic world, and in keeping with this the newest group covers Digital Imaging.
As this is such a new subject most of us are novices, and we all are able to learn from each other.
